What we collect
We only collect what the service needs to do its job:
- Your resume and work history — the document you upload and the experience, skills, and education we read out of it.
- Contact details — your name and email address, used to run your account and send you your job matches.
- Job-search preferences — target titles, locations, work arrangements, and compensation range, so matches are relevant.
- Activity in your dashboard — jobs you save, hide, or apply to, tailored resumes you generate, and application statuses you record, so your search stays organized.
- Payments — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
How we use it
- To analyze your resume and give you clear, human-readable feedback.
- To find and score job openings against your experience and preferences.
- To generate resumes tailored to specific roles when you ask for them.
- To send you your daily job-match email (every email includes an unsubscribe link).
- To keep your applications and interviews organized in your dashboard.
Parts of the analysis and tailoring are produced with the help of AI services. Your resume text and job-posting text are sent to those services only to produce your results — never to advertise to you, and never sold.
Data handling and storage
- Your data is encrypted in transit and stored with established cloud providers — our application database, document storage, and hosting infrastructure.
- Access is limited to the small team that operates HumansReadThis, and only for running and improving the service.
- Dashboard sessions use secure, expiring access links — there is no password for anyone to steal.
- Site analytics are privacy-safe: we measure which features get used, never resume content, and we do not put personal information into analytics events.
What we never do
- We never sell your data, to anyone, for any reason.
- We never share your resume with an employer — applying to a job is always your action, on the employer's own application page.
- We never send your information to third parties beyond the service providers needed to operate the product (hosting, database, AI analysis, email delivery, and Stripe for payments).
Retention and deletion
We keep your data while you use the service so your dashboard, history, and tailored resumes keep working. If you want your data deleted, email humansreadthisreview@gmail.com from the address on your account and we will remove your resume, profile, and job-search data.
