What “Readable” Means on a Resume
Visible hierarchy
Titles, employers, dates, and section headings should be easy to locate without reading the whole document.
One main idea per bullet
A long bullet often hides several unrelated actions. Split it when the recruiter has to hold too much information at once.
Specific language
Concrete nouns and actions are easier to trust than “various duties,” “helped with,” or “responsible for.”
Evidence near the claim
Place the scale or result in the same bullet as the work it supports so the reader does not have to connect the dots.
